Full-size square-body Blazers, Suburbans, and Jimmys from this era ran a 25-gallon tank with a built-in fuel bowl, and this replacement matches that spec exactly. Cross-references to OEM part 475428, ships with a new lock ring and gasket. The later, restyled version of this same truck uses a different tank (SKU 2225A).
A pinhole rust leak in an old steel tank rarely stays a pinhole for long, and by the time it's obvious, the surrounding metal is usually too thin to weld safely. This polyethylene replacement sidesteps rust entirely, so the installation notes below are what actually determines whether this swap goes smoothly.
