Late in the CJ5/CJ6 run, Jeep switched from a screw-in sending unit to a lock ring, though the angled filler neck stayed the same. This driver's-side tank matches that lock-ring spec and includes the pickup tube built into the sending unit itself. If your Jeep still has the screw-in style, you want SKU 0041 instead.
A tank this old has usually already sprung one leak or been patched at least once, and every patch job is just delaying the next one. Cross-linked polyethylene construction sidesteps that cycle entirely — the material doesn't corrode, so getting the fitment and installation details right matters far more here than any patch repair ever could.
