By 1980, Ford dropped the internal support vent pipe from the full-size Bronco tank entirely while keeping the emission/rollover valve hole — a 2" sending unit opening marks this design. Cross-references to Ford part E0TZ-9002-F, with a new lock ring and gasket included.
A pinhole rust leak in an old steel tank rarely stays a pinhole for long, and by the time it's obvious, the surrounding metal is usually too thin to weld safely. This polyethylene replacement sidesteps rust entirely, so the installation notes below are what actually determines whether this swap goes smoothly.
