25-gallon version of the 1978 rear-vent, no-EMS Bronco tank — matches SKU 4251C's configuration at the shorter capacity. Cross-references to Ford part D8TZ-9002-A.
Steel OEM tanks corrode from the inside out as ethanol-blended fuel picks up moisture over the years, and once rust perforates the metal there's no patching it — a full replacement is the only real fix. This tank is molded in high-density cross-linked polyethylene specifically because it doesn't rust, pit, or corrode the way steel does, so once it's installed correctly it's not something you'll be revisiting.
