This sending unit is built for the 18-gallon J-Series tank on the Jeep platform. It's matched to an ohm range of Full 8.5-10.5, Empty 70-80, so the fuel gauge reads accurately instead of just moving the same problem to a new part. Includes a new gasket and an in-tank fuel filter.

A sending unit that's dragging or corroded inside the tank can also starve the engine of fuel under hard acceleration, not just throw off the gauge reading. Matching the ohm range and pump configuration exactly, as this one does, restores both functions at once.
